La UE busca Expertos en Seguridad Social para contrato temporal: programa SOCIEUX

Dear EISS-member,

The European Institute of Social Security has been asked to assist in finding persons interested in becoming short term experts for a new EU initiative called SOCIEUX .

SOCIEUX – Social Protection EU Expertise in Development Cooperation – is a technical assistance facility established by the European Commission’s Directorate General for Development and Cooperation -EuropeAid- to support partner countries to design and manage social protection systems by means of short-term peer-to-peer inputs to be delivered by experts drawn primarily from the European Union Member States’ public administrations and mandated bodies.

SOCIEUX is currently searching practitioners in Social Protection to create a complete database of committed experts in a wide variety of areas, ranging from social insurance, to social assistance and access basic social services.  SOCIEUX’s short-term assignments involve one or several missions of one to two weeks to provide technical assistance to public authorities in some 145 developing and emerging countries.

SOCIEUX engages experts drawn primarily from public administration and mandated bodies of the EU Member States so as to facilitate the sharing of knowledge and expertise on a peer-to peer basis. Practitioners from partner countries’ administrations and mandated bodies can also bring added value in a South-South and triangular cooperation.  When required, experts from other organisations, such as international organisations, academia, civil society and private consultants may be involved in SOCIEUX’s actions.

More information on this initiative can be found on: http://ec.europa.eu/europeaid/socieux

If you are interested in participating as an expert or as an institution, then we would like to receive your ‘expression of interest’ no later than December 9th 2013.  You can do so by sending an email expressing in which domain of social security you would like to be working in as a short-term expert and whether you have preference for certain countries/regions. Please forward the email to: kirsten.vandenbempt@law.kuleuven.be .

Thank you for your kind consideration.

Yours sincerely,

Prof. Paul Schoukens

Secretary general of the EISS
